Each enteric-soluble coated tablet contains:
- Devil’s claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) – 375 mg
(root, secondary tubers)
P.E. 4:1 equivalent to 1500 mg
Microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, methacrylic acid copolymer, triethyl citrate, simethicone, carnauba wax, alcohol.
An enteric coating signifies that the tablet dissolves in an alkaline environment and not acid. Thus, the tablet must past through the stomach without modification and continue its course towards the intestine where it will start the dissolution process. It is necessary to avoid intake of alkaline products such as cow milk and calcium supplement, in order to keep the coating safe, at least one hour before and after intake of Harpagophytum.
