Indications

  • Used in herbal medicine
  • As a hormone normalizer to help stabilize the menstrual cycle.
  • To help relieve premenstrual symptoms, the pain associated to menstruation and symptoms of menopause.

Directions

  • Adult women: 2 tablets once a day. Take a few hours before or after taking other medications or natural health products. Use for a minimum of 3 months to see beneficial effects. Consult a healthcare practitioner for use beyond one year.

Caution

  • Consult a healthcare practitioner before using if you have a liver disorder, intestinal obstruction, liver or gallbladder diseases, a history of hormonal or gynecological disease (ovarian cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids), if you are taking hormone-containing medications such as progesterone preparations, oral contraceptives or hormone replacement therapy (including thyroid hormone) or develop liver-related symptoms (e.g. abdominal pain, jaundice, dark urine). Consult a healthcare practitioner if symptoms persist or worsen, discontinue use if you experience breast pain, discomfort, tenderness, a recurrence of menstruation or uterine spotting.

Contraindications

  • Do not use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, if you have or previously had breast cancer and/or tumours, if you have a predisposition to breast cancer, as indicated by an abnormal mammogram and/or biopsy or a family member with breast cancer, if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, kidney or liver disorder, diabetes or edema (hands, face, feet) or are taking products containing diuretics.

Medicinal ingredients

Each tablet contains:

  • Black cohosh (Actaea racemosa) (root and rhizome) – 200 mg
    P.E. 6:1 equivalent to 1200 mg, 2.5% triterpene glycosides
  • Wild yam (Dioscorea villosa) (root) – 100 mg
    P.E. 4:1 equivalent to 400 mg, 6% diosgenin
  • Chaste tree (Vitex agnus castus) (berry) – 100 mg
    P.E. 10:1 equivalent to 1000 mg, 0.5% agnusides
  • Soya (Glycine max) (seed) – 50 mg
    P.E. 200:1 equivalent to 10 g, 40% (12,4 mg AIE) isoflavones
  • Dandelion (Taraxacum officinalis) (root) – 25 mg
    P.E. 4:1 equivalent to 100 mg

Non-medicinal ingredients

Microcrystalline cellulose, calcium phosphate, sodium croscarmellose, magnesium stearate.
